It's summer, so it's ice cream time! But are you worried about those tedious stains that stick to the fabric, ruining your kid's favorite t-shirt? If you're like me when you see a stain, follow these steps. Here's what I do when I have to tackle a big ice cream stain on my child's clothing:
1. **Take a deep breath.**
2. **Keep calm and don’t yell at your child.** I gently take a napkin and remove the excess ice cream from the clothing. I let my kid savor his ice cream in peace and happiness, waiting patiently for other stains to join the first one.
3. **Wait for the fun to end.** Once the ice cream has totally disappeared and my kid's face is full of satisfaction and joy, I take down the stained clothing.
4. **Soak in cold water.** I put the clothing into cold water (warm water can make the stain stick to the fabric). Then, I apply a stain remover to the stains. My lifesaver stain remover is Nufar, from the Farmec brand. I used Vanish a lot, which worked like magic until some stains just wouldn't budge, so I switched to Nufar. Both are very good, but my favorite is Nufar (this isn't a paid ad, just my opinion).
5. **Let it work its magic.** I let it work for 10 minutes, according to the producer's instructions, then I rinse it manually. Then I reapply the stain remover, just to be sure, let it work for another 10 minutes, and put it in the washing machine on the cycle recommended by the clothing manufacturer. And voila, the tedious stains are gone.
Happy parents, happy kid.
Remember, stains come and go, but memories are forever! Have a joyful summer, full of ice creams and beautiful memories!
